CODE OF CONDUCT
Certain rules about how volunteers should behave are important for smooth business operations and to ensure the safety and well-being of all volunteers, employees, and clients. Behavior that disrupts operations, harms Deaf Action Center's reputation, or is inappropriate to clients, employees, or others will not be accepted. All volunteers have a responsibility to uphold DAC's reputation through professional behavior. Volunteers should always act in a way that reflects positively on DAC. Each DAC volunteer should, among other things, perform their assigned tasks by:
1. Respond quickly and follow the directions of the volunteer coordinator or staff.
2. Showing respect, cooperation, effort, and kindness when interacting with other volunteers, employees, clients, Board members, and the public.
3. Providing efficient and dedicated service to help achieve the agency’s goals effectively and economically.
4. Protect all confidential information and avoid sharing any details unless directly authorized to do so.

VOLUNTEER PRIVACY AND PERSONAL INFORMATION DISCLAIMER
The DAC Volunteer Program will collect data such as volunteer hours and demographics from the volunteer application for internal use and reporting for grants that support the Volunteer Program. We guarantee to secure the data we collect through the volunteer application within the DAC programs.

NOTICE OF RECORDED VIRTUAL INTERVIEWS
In the interest of thoroughly reviewing applicants, interviews and/or applicant responses to interview questions may be recorded. Recording interview responses allows for full participation of the staff and applicant(s), and for later review of responses when screening for roles.

CONFIDENTIALITY AGREEMENT
DAC is committed to protecting the confidentiality of client records, personnel information, and other non-public information regarding our clients, employees, and operations. Volunteers must ensure that information about our clients, employees, operations, and other volunteers is held in confidence to protect the welfare and interests of clients, volunteers, and employees. Any inquiries by individuals, the media, or public concerning DAC, its clients, volunteers, or employees should be referred to the Executive Director.
